Diana Ruisseau
Diana is a resident of the fictional city of New London, California. She did not move there of her own volition.
She isn’t very confident, and it shows. Diana doesn’t make her way out of her apartment very often. Her girlfriend seems distant. And she just doesn’t feel like she fits in with the few friends she has. Soon she is shown that her girlfriend is not what she seems.

Save the cat
I’ve struggled for years to write my stories the way I want to write them. It’s often difficult to find books, articles, or blogs that seem helpful without feeling stereotypical.
Much of what I’ve read in the past feels like “do exactly this and you’ll have the perfect novel!” Which always feels too good to be true. But what I’ve found is that you need the right voice to listen to. After all, novels aren’t created out of the void – which has been my problem.
My Writing Buddy suggested Save the Cat! The Last Book on Novel Writing You’ll Ever Need a while ago, and I finally gave it a try. And just in time, because I am going through burnout in 2024.
