The world materialized in front of them as a familiar place. This is often how otherworldly spaces present themselves; a quiet place turned loud and obnoxious and unknowingly scary. The world is not a quiet place in the land of the Black Lodge.

They appeared in the middle of a street at night. Cars passed by, both fast and slow. Light seemed to slow down just to gawk at the two that just popped into existence. But finally there were other beings!
